Guinean music star Lil Saako delivered two unforgettable performances at the Franco-Guinean Cultural Center (CCFG) on Friday and Saturday, treating fans to a vibrant celebration of music, dance, and Guinean culture.
The artist, whose real name is Mouctar Sacko, captivated audiences from the opening moments of each concert. Backed by an energetic team of dancers, Lil Saako performed a selection of his biggest solo hits alongside fan-favorite songs from his time with Instinct Killers. Tracks including Tombo Tombo, Wonkhai, Zapata, Dewi, Contrôle la Zone, and Marafanyi Forcé had the audience singing and dancing throughout the evening.
More than just a concert, the show—titled “Mon Beau Village”—offered an immersive cultural experience inspired by Guinea’s rich traditions. The stage featured seven traditional huts symbolising village life and the seven days of the week, while colourful costumes, dynamic choreography, and creative lighting brought the artistic vision to life.
One of the evening’s highlights came when Lil Saako paid tribute to Bill de Sam, the former Minister of Culture and a respected figure in Guinean old-school rap. His performance of Yankadi Danse in honour of Bill de Sam received a warm ovation from the audience.
The event also attracted several prominent figures from Guinea’s urban music scene, including Ans-T Crazy, Louny, Opinel 12, Araphan DJ, Zaga Boy, and other artists who attended to show their support.
