The Guinea Development Board (GDB) has welcomed a high-level Rwandan delegation as part of efforts to deepen cooperation between the two countries in investment promotion and investor support.
The delegation brought together representatives of the Rwanda Cooperation Initiative, the institution responsible for sharing Rwanda’s expertise with partner countries, and the Rwanda Development Board. It was accompanied by His Excellency Michel Minega Sebera, Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to Guinea.
The meeting marks a new stage in the relationship initiated in May 2026 in Kigali, where representatives of the Guinea Development Board held discussions with the Rwanda Development Board on the sidelines of the Africa CEO Forum.
The exchanges focused on Rwanda’s recognised experience in attracting investment, supporting project promoters and simplifying administrative procedures for investors. The Rwandan model is widely regarded as one of the leading references on the African continent in terms of investment promotion and business facilitation.
By moving from institutional dialogue to technical cooperation, the two parties aim to encourage knowledge sharing, strengthen the capacity of the Guinea Development Board and improve the quality of services offered to local and international investors.
This cooperation is aligned with Guinea’s ambition to create a more efficient, transparent and attractive business environment under the Simandou 2040 development programme.
The partnership also reflects the importance of African cooperation in supporting institutional modernisation and sustainable economic transformation. Through the sharing of experience and expertise, Guinea and Rwanda are seeking to develop practical solutions capable of facilitating investment and creating new economic opportunities.
